The most unbelieved verse in the Bible is "It is more blessed to give rather than receive." This is a genuine beatitude and can be found in various parts of the Bible, including the four Gospels. Although these words are not found in every single Gospel, they are still significant because they show a fragment of the doings and sayings of our Lord.

We are placing ourselves in a position of humility and offering something that God desires us to do. Being able to give is one of the most significant reasons why it is more blessed to receive than receive. In this article, we will discuss a few reasons why giving blesses your life.

1. Giving Submits to God's Lordship

Being able to give is one of the most significant reasons why it is more blessed to receive than receive. Every act of obedience recognizes that there is a higher authority over us. Due to our personalities, circumstances, and temperament, some commands may be easier to obey than others. However, our submission is also tested in the areas where our situation and nature make it difficult.

One of the most significant reasons why it is more blessed to receive than receive is money. Although our wallet is the most secure thing in the world, it gets rebuilt and re-secured quickly even when it does fall. If only we could remember that God's protection is not a threat, we would not have to rebuild and re-secure our possessions constantly.

2. Giving Advances God's Kingdom

Many of us have given to Apple in various ways. We helped the company grow from a garage operation to an international business worth billions of dollars. While I am happy that the company has brought so many blessings to the world, it is also important to remember that the blessings it brings can be used to fund the church's mission.

The church is currently paying the salaries of missionaries and ministers. It also funds various resources, such as evangelism, discipleship, and outreach. All this is done to ensure that the world's people receive the best care.

3. Giving Promotes God's Sanctification

Besides promoting God's work in us, giving also helps us develop. Although it can be hard to give money due to our sinful nature, it is essential to remember that sharing is also beneficial because it allows us to receive the blessings of God's power. As our giving weakens and breaks our selfish nature, the more God's grace is revealed in our hearts.

4. Giving Testifies to God's Power

Although we are not allowed to tell our left hand what our right hand does, Christians are known to give a lot to their various Christian charities and churches. Even secular observers have been surprised by how generous Christians are. They must believe that this is the real deal and that God has a mighty plan for making them so generous.
