The goal of keeping Christ in Christmas is to live your life in a way that reflects the spirit of the season instead of the things that you say. Doing so will allow you to share the character and love of Jesus with others. There are several simple ways to keep Christ at the center of your life this Christmas season.

Do Something Good
For the past couple of years, my family adopted a single mother. She was struggling financially and didn't have the money to purchase gifts for her daughter. Through our efforts, we were able to help her purchase Christmas gifts and replace her washing machine.

If you have an elderly neighbor who needs help with home repairs or yard work, consider reaching out to them this Christmas season. You can also involve your entire family in helping the individual.

Spend Time Celebrating The Church
Gather all of your family members together for a few minutes to pray and reflect on the true meaning of Christmas. Then, read a few Bible verses to share the message of the season. There are a variety of excellent bible verses that would be great to include on Christmas morning. Other ways to celebrate include reading about the background of Christmas within the Christian Church.

Send Letters To The Church
This idea is very special to me because, during my four years in the mission field, I was able to receive letters every day. It felt like I was opening a gift on Christmas morning.

Since missionaries often cannot go home for the holidays, Christmas can be a lonely time for them. This year, make a special letter to a missionary and thank them for their service. It will be something that will last a lifetime.

Save A Gift To God
A gift should be something personal that you would never want anyone else to know about. One of the gifts that you can give to God this Christmas season is to forgive someone who has wronged you. Doing so will allow you to give back to yourself.

Your gift should be something that you would commit to doing daily to spend time with God. You can also give something that God has asked you to give up.
